Verify a credential

Every ID we issue resolves to what is actually behind it — including when the answer is only attendance.

Pending: the verification lookup is not connected. The ID scheme below must also be confirmed against the issued certificate templates. Content is tokenised rather than guessed. See REVIEW.md.

What the two tiers mean

Verified Credential
Issued only when a mentor has reviewed a finished piece of work against a stated standard and signed the assessment. The ID resolves to that assessment.
Record
Confirms attendance at a session or short format. That is all it confirms.

What a Record is not

ID scheme

IDs take the form CNI-<cohort>-<sequence>-<tier>, where the final character is V for a Verified Credential and R for a Record. The tier is readable from the ID itself so that nobody has to take our word for which one they are holding.
